We stopped by there on a Tuesday and the tour was fantastic. The tour guide really knew his stuff and his passion showed throughout the tour. Definitely recommend, even if you have little to know knowledge of the book or movie, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil.
Unable to see the second floor as this is a working residence. The directive to take no photos in the garden or residence was highly disappointing and smacks of the Williams' sister being very revenue focused. Not really worthy of $12.50 for 35 minutes for an adult ticket; the $8 I paid as a student was better in line with the result.
Before you visit, read Midnight on the Garden of Good and Evil, or watch the movie. A beautiful home and worth the time to see.
The wife and I were extremely excited to see the house. It lived up to our expectations, but the tour guide could have done a better job. He seemed impatient and irritated when another tourist asked a question about the murder in the study.
Very interesting. Great visit of the house and Jim Williams work. Minus a star for not being allowed to photograph.
Ben was fantastic as a guide and added all kinds of tidbits about Midnight without spoilers. The first floor was in great repair; the garden was disappointing because it needs some love. Stained glass in the roof - amazing!
