As a stand alone (on going) house tour, it takes advantage of tourists who presume a certain amount of historic significance or intrigue, whether building or people related.
If this house tour was only one of several on a 'tour of homes' program, it would (at best) be okay; given its current state. But, quite simply it isn't worth the $12 'tour' fee, and even if money was no object I'd keep this house at the bottom of my tour list. Indeed, its exterior provides more interest than its interior.
We are into visiting mansions and the ones in Savannah are special because of the people who owned them and the civil war. Good guides to tell you the story.
Even though they had a wedding setting up and I was the only visitor, they were very gracious.
Beautiful Greek Revival, and a lot of pieces are original. A true hidden gem.
This was a waste of money and time to visit this house. There are a lot of pretty and antique items inside but the tour guide was very pushy and rude. We were not given the opportunity to take in the whole experience as we felt like hour hands were tied. The guide was also not very knowledgeable when it came to questions asked about some of the houses artifacts.
