Very tasteful and unique merchandise
I only went on the tour because I liked the movie, I grew up in Mercer, PA (named after a relative who commissioned the construction of the home), and also I love Historic Savannah. The operators should have informed the callers that no photographs can be taken during the tour, which seems odd. Maybe they are trying to push sales of the book written by Jim William's sister which includes interior photographs of the home. You do see where Danny Hansford was murdered and where Jim Williams died a few feet away however. You do get to see photographs of Jim Williams, photographs taken during the filming if the movie of Clint Eastwood and Kevin Spacey. The tour guide was a bit above himself and not entirely friendly. He was obsessed with my phone being left on and acted rudely, my phone's power button does not work and it could not be turned off. Again, they could have told us to leave our phones in the car if they are that particular. The Carriage house employees were very obliging and friendly. They squeezed us in at the last minute for the tour. I recommend taking the tour if you love the movie just to see where the murder happened and to learn more about Jim Williams restorations.
If you like historic houses, beautiful furnishings and art work then you'll like the Williams house. A bit pricey. You don't get to see the upstairs. If you don't mind the $12 price tag you should definitely put it on your list of things to do.
Beautiful historic house. Lots of antiques. Tour was cool and informational.
Beautiful!
