With the limited space available, this museum offers much. For those that love the sea, "and the wheels kick, and the white sails shaking", this is the only place for hours around to get your fix. it is in an Anti Bellum mansion, originally built for a descendant of John Williams, of Puritan New England fame. Many ship models and displays, artifacts, etc.. inside this Old Mansion. Oh, and if you love plants, they have the largest formal garden in Savannah - and it is open FREE, regardless if you pay to go inside or not !
Ships of the Sea is a beautiful venue for weddings. They have an amazing outdoor area that is covered and provides a blank slate for any style wedding surrounded by beautiful gardens!
Went here for a concert as part of the Savannah Music festival. It was an amazing venue for a night under the stars. The design is peaceful even though you are in the heart of downtown.
Wonderful collection of ship models. Very interesting notes with each. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit.
Wonderful place to learn about the Heritage of our Maritime History. Wonderful Staff and Models of Ship from the past. Beautiful Paintings and Building. Nice Garden, free parking, convenient.
