From the time we walked in until the time we left, we were learning. The staff was very pleasant, helpful, and knowledgeable. One of the staff members, Angela Dorsey, went above and beyond to help us with an issue that we had and we are forever grateful. I am so glad that we had the opportunity to visit the museum and learn about some our history that is not normally taught in schools. The exhibits were thoughtful and insightful. The video was great also. Please keep up the good work.
I absolutely loved this stop on my stay in GA. Knowing your history is important and honestly, learning it from your own makes it better. Rosalyn was incredibly knowledgeable, passionate and a delight. She was incredibly eager to share what she knows and make sure it was digested and taken with me as knowledge that cannot be read in books. I learned more than I thought I would on this trip. I was in tears by the end of the self guided tour and after the short documentary she showed us. Thank you so much Rosalyn. I will never forget.
This museum is nice. You get a understanding of the civil right struggle in Savannah. The staff is friendly and helpful.
Nice treat. Some interactive exhibits. A really awesome educational film about the historic civil rights era boycott in Savannah which set the stage for other boycotts around the south. I definitely gained a new appreciation for the work of the movement in Savannah and southern South Carolina.
Great museum. Lots of good exhibits, the staff was super friendly and professional. The exhibits are detailed and also provide the legal background for why segregation was so difficult in Georgia. The video on the top floor was great. It is full of excellent facts and interviews. It really put the civil rights movement on a more personal level. Great place to go, especially if you only have a couple hours to do something. It was totally worth going.
