I am extremely pleased with my experience of doing business with Coastal Moving and Storage. From start to finish, everything went well, according to plan, and met even expectation and more! The people I had contact with regarding my move were extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and performed their duties with professional excellence. Should I ever need to move again, I would not hesitate to call Coastal Moving and Storage.
30 minutes later I get a call from the move coordinator (who works for a broker, totally different company), telling me no dice. Now I'm angry... asked to talk to the supervisor who made the decision. Two calls later, I'm told that the only way I'm clearing my house is to deal with it, and that no one from coastal was willing to talk to me about it. I'm stuck between a bad option and one that's worse. All I asked for was for the person who made the decision that he would not be inconvenienced to clean up his company's mistake to tell me as much himself. They flat. Out. Refused.
Day two of trying to load started with me making 11 phone calls over the course of 4 hours. I'm finally informed that they will have a truck to me between 3 and 5. Great, we can get this resolved in time for me to meet family from out of town (hadn't seen my nephews in 2 years, would be at least as long before I see them again). But no... at 5:05 pm I get a call from the crew. They're at the warehouse and are working to get a truck ready... warehouse is an hour away! Seriously? I asked politely if we could work something out for the next morning (after all, Coastal pulled guys off of our packing job to resolve something else) so that I didn't have to sit on the house until 8 at night. Crew leader asks the yard supervisor... no dice. I called myself. Got told to wait and they'd find out from the supervisor.
Best Moving Experience I have ever Had. The driver Quincey was fantastic. I wish I could request him everytime!!
The guy in dispatch is rude! You walk in say hi, he just stares at you. You try to tell him something, he doesnt acknowledge you! You literally have to ask if he is listening and heard you! Did not feel welcome as a driver!
One of the best move job my family and I have had in a long time. Mr. Q. Scott, and his crew was very professional and helpful. Job well done.
Avoid these folks at all costs.

Coastal estimated my shipment at 11,000 pounds and, despite my repeated insistence that it was, in fact, 12,500 (I might have moved 8 times in the last 12 years) pounds, they set everything up for 11,000. When the truck showed up with space for 11,000 pounds, surprise of the century, our shipment didn't fit!! Now I'm stuck with an overflow shipment... such fun!
