They didn't show up. We booked probably a month in advance, my whole move has been rather difficult because of other people, but I'll cut that short and say my move in date to the new place was delayed to the same day as my move out of my current place. Well, I had until 5:30PM to be completely 100% moved out and never to return, and if I didn't I would be charged almost $2,000. So needless to say, this move needed to bloody happen. The movers gave us a window of 8AM-10AM, alright great, but no. Apparently last minute they pushed it back to noon, alright noon would work. But no, they didn't even call to tell us they would be late, at 1PM and again every hour on the hour my Dad called them and they said they were working on it and would be there soon. Suddenly it's 4 bloody o'clock, and I have an hour an a half to move all of my stuff. My father calls again, and oh, guess what, they'll just come tomorrow, no big deal. YES THAT'S A BIG DEAL! I needed to be gone in an hour and half! No exceptions! We had told them this over and over! Completely unacceptable! Maybe if they'd just told us from the beginning that they wouldn't come I could've had some ounce of hope of finding someone else on such late notice. Instead I had to call U-Haul while I was having a panic attack, they were great and helped me rent a 15 foot truck very cheaply and ASAP, I'll leave them their own review. My dad and I had to run over and get the truck, and call my friend to come over and help. And then in the next hour two girls barely out of our teens and my 65 year old father had to move literally everything I own all by our selves before 5:30PM. And don't think because I'm a college student I don't have a full two bed apartment filled with stuff, when my Mom died two years ago I inherted a lot of furniture, I have a full library (thank God I moved the books myself earlier,) a large couch, kitchen table, full bed, dresser, you know, the works. And the movers abandoned me. I still can't believe my friend and I were able to drag all of that stuff out of the apartment and we just barely got it on our truck before we collapsed. Thank god I was on the first floor. We're going else where to find someone to move it to our new upstairs place. It was one of the most stressful and physically exhausting days of my life. Thanks for nothing, jerks.
I have no complaints whatsoever! The movers were gentlemen and very well mannered, hard working! Took instruction above and beyond and without a doubt I would use them again as well as I'd suggest them to anyone. Thanks guys!
Haven't used them, but all I can say is don't call for a quote unless you absolutely are going to use them. Filled out the form online, clicked the box that said we were just budgeting and getting quotes, again told the lady that when we spoke (we don't even have an exact moving date yet, and literally just wanted to see what movers would cost because we've never used them). I have since been spam called three or more times every single day. The first day or two there was no voicemail left, so I didn't know who it was. Then they started leaving voicemails on the third call of the day. They finally got a hold of me this morning, so hopefully it will stop. They must be pretty desperate for business, because I have NEVER had a business call me this much just to check up on the quote I was given. Especially after saying multiple times I was just budgeting and getting price ideas.
SO again, don't ask for a quote unless you are ok with being called a million times a day.
I finally spoke with someone and told them I wasn't interested and again explained that I was only getting quotes and ideas mostly out of sheer curiosity. And here we are a week later and the calls have started again. LEAVE ME ALONE I AM NOT INTERESTED AND HAVE STATED SEVERAL TIMES
Jake the owner is a liar and allows his rep Adam to disrespect customers on the phone when his services were declined. When I called back to try and rectify the situation both of their customer service mannerisms were sub par which let's me know their work is just as shoddy. I'd stay away from this company based off of the customer service aspect alone.
I was severely under quoted. I informed them that my apartment was on the 3rd level and was told it would be about $650 w/2 men. I asked if that would be enough men because I didn't want it to take all night, and he said yes 2 would be sufficient. ---- The movers had me talk to someone at the office since it was so late and they still weren't done -- the amount was going to be more like $1200. I was so upset. That wasn't even close to what I was expecting to pay. I was told that he could lower the price some if I didn't have them fix the damage to my china cabinet the movers caused and left a good review on google. I still ended up paying over $950. Funny thing is I posted a review when this happened Nov 2014 but I noticed it wasn't listed today while I was searching for a moving company..so I figured I would post it again.
Never have used them, but honestly this was kind of a turn off so if we do use movers I don't think I will.
