Went here while in the military. I have to say, I’m from michigain and I’ve been to some hospitals here but nothing came close to like this place. People say the staff suck but they really treat you like their your friend and it’s quite amazing for someone in a bad position. I loved this place and they take amazing care of you. On top as far as phone calls. They have set times you are allowed to contact anyone you want. For how ever long you want. Just give them your Id number (which is your ln and last 4) and they can call you whenever they want. Amazing place and amazing staff. Couldn’t have done it without this place
If there was a 0 stars I would have clicked it. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. If you want to get better, this is NOT the place for you. Six days of being ignored by staff, not being seen by ANYONE, locked in freezing rooms, sitting in front of the TV and drawing with dull pencils. It's been two months since I was released and I'm still experiencing PTSD from a hospital that was supposed to help. The building smells like bleach and vomit, my room was stained with vomit and blood on the sink and curtains, the staff are heinous and rude, it's expensive, understaffed, and when I left I only got worse. Please do not consider Coastal Harbor Health for anything. Please seek treatment elsewhere. No one deserves to be locked up in this place only being made worse. I still talk to three other patients I was in with and all of them are in the same place I was. This place only hurts, it does not help.
My wife went here depressed, she left traumatized. For the most part, say 80% of the "staff" are vulgar mouthed, incompetent, lazy and hateful. Her insulin and other medicines was a day late, she along with 40-50 more people had to get permission, then wait to use the (1) restroom. DO Not SEND ANYONE HERE. Their chief concern is ripping off your insurance company. The Dr Vass was decent and helpful. Any Good this place has is ruined by the staff. If you send anyone here, you will regret it.
Its been a year and i still think about this place. It was no help at all.. And i wonder sometimes if i wouldve had a better experience then maybe i wouldn't still feel the way that i do.
So far regret Winn Army Hospital for recommending my wife go here. Took her here last Tuesday, was able to stay with her while she filled out papers, once they took her to the back we have had no contact at all. I attempted to call and each time my calls were transferred to about four different people. They could give me no updates or anything. One lady stated without a patient ID they couldn't give any info; it would have been nice to give the family members her ID number when they processed her in. Reading these reviews and the way my phones calls have been handled, I'm leaning more towards these reviews having truth to what has been written.
