Urban Poppy flawlessly executed our wedding flower vision! They were prompt and on-time. Everyone at the wedding couldn't stop talking about how beautiful the flowers, table decorations, and bouquets were. Thank you, thank you! - Marissa + Staci
These folks did a great job with my order! Helped get everything out on time and took care of an issue. Really appreciate the care and speed they put into this.
More importantly, though, was their customer care. The day before we were supposed to drive from Florida to get married, Hurricane Matthew rolled in and was bearing down directly on the city of Savannah. The people at the wedding venue told us that, basically, we should cancel everything. I was heartbroken and in tears. I called Urban Poppy to speak with them about cancelling, and the person I talked to (I don’t remember her name) was so calm and kind and comforting that I got off the phone feeling as if an enormous weight was lifted. She took the time to listen to me freaking out, then reassured me that she was still busily preparing for other weddings scheduled for the same day as mine. She even took the time to keep me on the phone as she watched the local news to update me about potential forced evacuations. I went from cancelling the entire thing to leaving out plans in place and heading for Savannah as scheduled. I’m so glad she changed my mind! The wedding took place the next day, although it had to be moved up by 3 hours (the minister lived on Tybee and had to evacuate). The earlier ceremony time didn’t impact my flowers at all...they arrived in perfect time, just as I was getting dressed. They truly made my day perfect, despite a huge hurricane and lots of rearranging. I would, without hesitation, recommend this florist to anyone looking to get married/have an event in the greater Savannah area. Beautiful work, beautiful flowers, and superb service. An unqualified 5 star rating from this extremely pleased bride.
Modern and lovely with superior quality
Urban Poppy was my wedding florist. Anissa was really flexible with my options and style. The whole group was very communicative and creative. A hurricane was expected to hit the weekend of my wedding. I called Anissa to find out what we needed to do since my wedding was on a marina that was being made to evacuate. Anissa was willing to go out of her way to coordinate changes with my other vendors and she found another venue for us on Sunday. At this point, that was not an option for us. All of our guests were leaving town too and the ones from out of town couldn't fly in, including our officiant. We rented an enormous house in Atlanta and invited everyone to evacuate with us and we had our wedding there. Since we were not able to have the wedding that we envisioned and hoped for, Urban Poppy offered us a photography session with fresh and gorgeous flowers to capture precious moments we want to keep forever. Everything Urban Poppy has to offer is unique and out of this world beautiful but what stands out the most is the care for their clients. This is a place is truly one of a kind.
It’s been a year since I got married at the Kehoe House in Savanah, and I still have and cherish the beautiful King Protea bouquet made by Urban Poppy. My flowers were one of my favorite things at my small ceremony. They exceeded my expectations...the bouquet and boutonnière were so beautiful that they literally drew gasps from myself and my bridesmaids when they were delivered. I cannot speak highly enough of this florist.
