Four stars: The front office staff has always been helpful and friendly to me as well. I see that a lot of patients probably don't feel great as a result of mental health issues and often have difficulties understanding their insurance or office policies, but I have witnessed the front office staff being very patient and respectful of folks who are "difficult". It also appears that things have been running more smoothly since the office moved out on Abercorn. No more cramped quarters for staff or patients jostling at a tiny reception desk.
First of all, 5 stars!:. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, Ms. Christy Oates is very warm, caring and extremely knowledgeable in her field. I would highly recommend her as a provider of mental health care. I always ask to have a NP as my provider in any speciality in which they might be available because I have always had the best experience.
Four stars: I have met Dr. Banjoko on 1 or 2 visits since I started coming here, and he seems also very knowledgeable and experienced. I am very glad to see that he is one of a few physicians in the area to offer TMS. I also had a single visit with the female physician with no complaints. The docs get 4 stars just because I don't know them as well.
I did not do my research before I booked this appointment. I would strongly advise you to try some place where the staff is a little more welcoming and amicable. I have never been treated so tentatively and passive agressively by anyone until I arrived at Horizon Behavioral Health. I cannot speak for the counseling session because I turned my heel from the lack of communication between myself and the staffer at the gate. I will never return to this place again. Next, time I will make sure I do my research as well, for I can only imagine if these are the type of people they hire, I can only guess what kind of treatment I would receive behind closed doors. I shudder at the thought of the rubber room and white coat with lock hooks!
I have been coming to this office for sometime and love all the providers. Dr Gaffney and Christi have really helped get my medication straightened out. They have had some new faces at the front desk. Those ladies have a tough job dealing with some really rude people that I have witnessed coming in. All in all I think the staff is great.
This place sucks! They scheduled me with the wrong doctor(nurse practitioner ) and took my money and rescheduled me to see the right doctor. While i was in there she called me a drug addict and cut the appointment short. I suffer from adhd and i guess since i was on adderall in the past that im an addict now lol what a joke. Then the day before my appt with the right doctor they call and say they’re not able to see me because they’re short staffed. I guess I should’ve known they were half assed when i saw the building they have their practice at. Im considering filing a lawsuit with them for the name calling and them taking my money. Dont waste your time at this place seriously!!
Never go here. 4 weeks waiting for a fax to my Dr office for my 15 yo with autism. No efficiency, they say , oh we will do it today.....and my child is still waiting for his medication. Really, A WHOLE FREAKING MONTH?!! Will never return. Awful staff!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE EVER!!
