Pain-riddled nightmare since surgery...My boyfriend only stayed under his care for 3 months after surgery before he shipped him off to pain management instead of referring him and my nerve pain to a neurosurgeon or someone who may be able to fix the nerve pain instead of trying to mask it...nerve pain kept increasing after surgery instead of improving...been with pain management for over a year now and pain has done nothing but increase ... NOW Dr. Roybal, who hasn't seen him since pain management took over, tells his employer he can be taken off light duty and return to his regular job...not possible even in my wildest dreams, He cannot walk or stand for more than 15 minutes, He cannot pick anything up from the ground, He cannot put on his own socks and shoes, He has problems riding in a car for more than an hour. We cannot do anything normal eople do for enjoyment..can't sit through a movie or go on vacation. Heck he can't even sleep in a bed has to sleep in the recliner. AVOID HIM...Get a NEUROSURGEON to do your surgery.
Chai is great but management is aweful and will lie completely. And 1 staff member doesn't need to be in psin management at all she is rude and will place blame on everyone but herself and lie to get you put out. I'm so called rude sue to fever after injections and called for 2 weeks got humg up on and i record everything also comment they were not dealing with s--- today hung up on. So when i went into office due to mo call backs . I was told by mew management Regan, i was rude and discharged. And if i didnt5leave she was calling police ok call tjem I'll sit right here. Now mind you i was at another dr office trying to speak with them. Mow yes i was friendly with all the staff been going there for 4 years but when i went into office to yry to see what need to do after a injections that i was running fevers for a couple weeks. I was released. Then when asked for release form Regan said up yo 10 days it will be mailed i then replied and it will say due to me being rude cause YOUR staff never called back i was hung up on and also a follow up in 2 day from this day . Well letter stated doctor an Paitent agreed not to see each other. Really no cause you lied and kim lied and i can honestly say Dr Chai of all people you know for a fact I never lied and I was always up front with you and Susan you're P. A. But now letter stated I can't see any doctor their and i see livett howard moonburge . So im released and started to see Dr Seno who realized a big problem had screws put into my si joint which was told it may be to late so Thank you Chatham ortho for endangering my health and abilty to walk. Now that Dr. Seno has moved I have to located a Dr. That does enjections and pain management.
I really don't know why Dr Roybal even has any negative reviews? I had been suffering from back pain and issues for over 20 years. I was a bit reluctant to have surgery because many of my friends have had extremely bad results from back or neck surgery. I finally couldn't take it anymore because my brain was just short circuiting from the pain, so I pulled the trigger on surgery. The surgery did not take long and I was up and walking around that same day with zero pain!! The first time in 20 plus years I had the relief I was so searching for. Less than 2 weeks into surgery I was able to walk over 5 miles. I was so impressed with the results that I decided to get my neck fixed as well which was causing massive pains of stabbing in the front of my brain to include behind my eyes that was on 24/7, which was horrible!! Dr. Roybal did the surgery and took away the stabbing pains in my head, which I am so grateful for. I followed all instructions given to me by the doctor and engaged in physical thearpy to the point where I was able to do more thearpy on my own. I was even so impressed with his surgical skills that I even flew my mom down and had her back fixed as well. My mom is doing great as well!! I did find that my mom is a bit stubborn and occasionally I have to make sure she follows doctors orders because she started having a little pain when she doesn't listen but gets better when she does follow instructions. I realize not everyone has positive results but I believe that is from lack of information given to the doctor and perhaps trying to do more than you are suppose to during the healing process.
Recently my husband saw Dr. Roybal for his back. After speaking with him exploring what is the best for him my husband decided to go ahead with the surgery. Dr. Roybal and his staff made sure we was prepared by going to a class on what was going to take place on his surgery. He had his surgery a few days ago and came home the same day. His staff has checked in to see how he is doing . My husband has been up and walking doing what he was instructed to do he is pleased at his out come so far will come back and post again. Thank you Dr. Roybal
I will never come back to or recommend this place and here is why. I came here many years ago to see Dr. Roybal about my back pain that I'd had for years, but had managed to live with somehow. They took x-rays of my back and Dr. Roybal said to get better shoes. I got better shoes and eventually left my pharmacy job because of the pain in my back that seemed to be aggravated by standing for long periods of time -- and not being allowed to sit on the job sucked. Flash forward to a a couple of years later when I went to a chiropractor, Dr. Coxhead, and he asked for that same copy of my x-rays. So I got them from Chatham Orthopedic and gave them to him. He called me later in the day, sounding horrified, and asked me if I knew I had a herniated disc. Uhhhh...No! I didn't know, because Dr. Roybal never told me that. My primary care physician was able to look and see it, too. Do you even look at the patients' x-rays, Dr. Roybal? Way to let me slip through the cracks.
