A pile of dirt also appeared near the elevators on the 4th floor lobby and it took them nearly half the day to clean it.
The fitness room and hot tub area was being renovated without notice before booking a room, however we were informed that guests were allowed access to the Hyatt fitness room just across the parking lot. I recommend this hotel as it is nicely kept, convenient, and relatively inexpensive.
Most disappointingly, we stripped the sheets thinking they'd replace the stained ones but they put them right back on. I took it upon myself at that point to just scrub the stain out.
The next day I went down and tried breakfast but it, like the pillows, was among the worst I've ever had at a hotel.
Took about 30 damn minutes to check in because there computer was screwed up BUT Room was great, AC was ice cold, slept like a baby in the king and I was actually very surprised at how satisfying the continental breakfast was. It was really good.
While downstairs we inquired about the gym to which she replied "it's right there but it isn't ready yet" (there was only one machine in the room and it looked like it was in the middle of a remodel... The next day we saw the rest of the workout equipment unceremoniously strewn about in a corner of the parking lot). We are active so this was a big disappointment for us.
I give them 2 stars because breakfast was good, otherwise it would be a total thumbs down. Pet friendly at $50 for one night. My dog is cleaner than their standards. The shower head had black mold on it. There was a chunk of hair at the corner of the bathtub, and no paint on the bottom 3 inches of the door.
She gave us our keys and we went up to our room on the top floor. The hallway smelled like wet dog (apparently pets are allowed). We tried the keys multiple times and they did not work. We marched back downstairs and reported the problem with the keys.
Elevator sounds like a mid-evil torture device..... lol
The fun did not end there. We were finally able to get into the room and were exhausted from our long day and 5 hour drive and decided to go straight to bed. Upon going to bed we noticed that the sheets had a stain and the pillows were the flattest I've ever slept on in a hotel.
Never again. Avoid this place at all costs.
Trouble started before we even checked in. We arrived late on a Friday evening and were unpleasantly surprised to find the front door locked and no one at the front desk. There were some other guest who had already checked in earlier in the day outside waiting with us. They tried their key multiple times and it wouldn't work. We banged on the door and even called the front desk but there was no response for nearly 10 minutes. One of the guests who had already checked in walked around the hotel to the side door and was finally able to let us in. Almost immediately after that the night clerk finally appeared and said she was preoccupied with "prepping breakfast" and didn't hear us. She was neither friendly nor apologetic.
Really clean, quiet, but average hotel that charges much much more for its rooms than is worth. Other newer hotels across the street have much more amenities and cost much less up to 50% lower.
I'm a Hilton Honors member and usually stay there but I decided to give this place a chance because of the good price. What a mistake.
