This is nice hotel right in front of City center. It's good hotel old looking building and inside is pretty good. Prices are decent. Sound comes from Windows if some vehicle with powerful engine passes by. That may disturb u. It disturbed me badly in my 2 nights stay here.
This is one of my favorite properties to stay at when I'm in Savannah. It's rooms are clean and comfortable, though a bit dated. Some of them are rather large. There is a restaurant on site and nearby places to grab food and drinks. Though not located Central to the historic district, you are just a short still away. It's readily accessible from the highway. And last, but not least, every staff member I've dealt with had been exceptionally helpful and courteous.
We reserved a room for 2 nights for a family wedding. Reservation with cc card was made about 2 months ahead of time. We confirmed on day of arrival that we were coming late and told they had one last room for us. When we arrived, they had given our room away and moved us to another hotel down the road that was dirty and smaller room. We had to check and wait until the afternoon to see if they had a room. I asked to speak to the manager twice and later told he was not in that day but would call me Monday. Never heard from him. I had to call the reservation customer care number to confirm a room on the second night. BEWARE!! Room was nice and clean once we got into it.
Very fast hassle free check in process . Staff was friendly and quick to acknowledge you and offer suggestions to make your stay more pleasant. Coffee in the lobby was good. Room was a queen double in the 1st floor facing the street, room was clean and neat , the bathroom was clean. The only negative ( trivial) was the shower/tub was dated and heavily caulked there were paint marks on the door . We decided to skip the mandatory valet parking as it's 24 a day and instead choose to park across the street for 5.00 a day. The location is good, if you don't mind a walk it's easy to get to the River Front or various points in the Historic district. Uber drivers are a plenty and at no point did we wait longer than 2 min for a ride.
Nice hotel with very friendly, polite, and efficient staff. Reasonable rate, nice clean rooms. Good location within a reasonable walk of some restaurants and attractions. But valet parking only so add that to your daily rate. Fast valet service, just call ahead for your car. Overall highly recommend.
