We went in today with a coupon for $25 off of our food from a seminar that we attended. Mary was all smiles (our waitress) and she really took care of us! she made excellent recommendations and the food was fantastic! we started with a free appetizer that they offered with a coupon, the fried green tomatoes (a true must have!! these were awesome!)The best I have ever tasted! We also had the big burrito and the chimichanga with steak. The portions were huge and we could not even begin to eat it all, but it was absolutely fantastic! If you go for nothing else say hi to Mary she is an amazing human being and a foodie so she knows what's good and she can also give you other ideas and throughout the area. I could not recommend this place more just based on service!
We visited One Eyed Lizzie’s and were shocked and disappointed that they were out of some items. Lisa, our server was awesome. Her attitude and personality made up for the restaurants shortcomings.
Waiter was awesome. Drinks were good. Nice place to grab a lil snack and have a couple of drinks. Sat outside on the deck.
My wife and I were staying nearby and went in to check out Lizzys. Right off the bat the waitress was sarcastic and acted like we were an inconvenience since it was the end of her shift and she was waiting on her replacement. It took three tries to order our drinks since they didn't make a drink that was served everywhere else...then she took my wife's appetizer order and literally walked away before I could order one. She came back with my wifes app and I finally ordered oysters on the half shell....guess what? No oysters to be had at all so we ordered something else even though its advertised on the menu AND the walk by board outside...During this time we were introduced to another server and she took over for the previous waitress. Food came out and wasn't bad but nothing special. I ordered shrimp and had to ask for cocktail sauce and was brought ketchup, asked for another drink and waited for 10 minutes before it came. The worst part...we had to ask someone else for our check because our waitress disappeared and were told the computer was just restarted. We literally waited 30 minutes before we were able to leave. The manager kept popping his head out of the back (to see if we were still there I guess) but never came out to explain, offer a drink, make a gesture of any kind for OUR TIME while we waited and waited...but nothing. Finally we were able to pay and leave. I'm sorry but there are way better places to spend 60 dollars for dinner in Savannah.
We had great service. The food took a while to come out, but it was a busy night. The reason for the poor rating has to do with portion size and price. A side of hush puppies is three hush puppies. The sandwiches are small. Food quality was OK, and overall just not worth $10+.
