Please disregard the hat wearing and flip flop wearing, rule resistant reviewers. I for one don’t want to hang with them. There is much to like at Artillery. I appreciated every thing from the beautiful book matched marble wall behind the bar to their unique recipe for a Manhattan (Barolo Chinato instead of sweet vermouth). Artillery is a class establishment. If you need a cheap drink and can’t appreciate quality, go elsewhere.
This is one of my favorite places in savannah. You should expect to pay more for the drinks, but they never disappoint. The ambiance is killer, and it is in a great spot.
Absolutely gorgeous interior with the loveliest staff. The physical menu is super cool, you'll see what I mean! It's very dimly lit, so you'll have issues getting some nice pictures - be prepared. They do reserve the right to turn you away if you are not dressed well enough - be prepared yet again. Once again, though, the interior (and exterior) are beyond beautiful and the drinks are top notch (but pricey).
Visited several weeks ago. Can't deny that they are trying to create a vibe, but I think they missed the mark. Hipster servers and high-art decor do not make the bar. Bottom line, found it to be overpriced, lacking in options, no local feel, and our server couldn't describe two of the menu drinks without going to ask someone. For an average $15-16 cocktail I expected more. I guess they have a no flip-flop rule, right in the path of Savannah foot traffic in the summer during the day. What? There were other rules that they seemed unsure whether or not to enforce. I had heard good things, but definitely underwhelmed. Have experienced much better in a more comfortable ,and certainly a less costly, place.
We brought some company here a couple of weeks ago. When we walked in the host abruptly told my husband to remove his hat immediately. Oh... They have rules! And the tiny little Manhattan I had (barely a shot of whiskey) was $16. No food. Save your money and go next door to The Public House... Great staff, food and drinks that won't break the bank. Oh and no ridiculous rules either.
