Had a lovely diner out on the patio! Food was fresh and delicious! We had an amazing Bourbon and Bacon Board to start, and a wide variety of entrees to choose from! Very attentive service from James, who even took the time to give us the history of this amazing restaurant!
The food is decent, but the service is the issue--from the top down. When our waiter ran my card for our bill ($137.00), he then also ran my card for another table's bill in the staggering amount of $420.94. When I discovered it the next day, the GM, Michael Lacey, assured me the waiter had immediately realized his mistake and reversed the transaction, though it was still showing on my side. Of course when I questioned why the waiter wouldn't have alerted management and myself to the error immediately, the GM didn't seem that concerned about it. I told him I needed proof it was reversed and I also felt that I was entitled to our dinner being comped due to this sever inconvenience, and he reluctantly agreed--all the while letting me know on more than once occasion that they are a mom and pop establishment. I am a self employed single mother, so I'm the mom without the pop, but that doesn't entitle me to not to whatever I can to correct my mistakes. The GM also promised after a week of no resolution to immediately refund my card, but when said refund never showed up, he proceeded to tell me that he now all of a sudden showed no record of collecting the funds even though I had sent him a screenshot of the withdrawal by his establishment from my debit card. My bank said that in order to file an unauthorized use of my card chargeback, I would also have to file a police report--which would require me to fly back to Savannah from San Diego. I could have done this while I was still there, but trusted the GM that he would take care of this. As of today, the $420.94 charge is STILL not credited back.
I had my wedding reception at Cha Bella on November 10, 2017 and it was absolutely amazing! The food was to die for and the service was exceptional. Candice, the catering coordinator made the restaurant look like a Pinterest wedding. She is so talented and easy to work with. All of our guests were obsessed with the food. Especially the mac and cheese bar and ribeye!
Service and food is excellent. Price reflects the high value received. Pleasant ambiance. One of Savannah's top ten, in my view.
My family went there for Thanksgiving dinner. It was an all you can eat buffet that was very reasonably priced. All the food was incredible but the prime rib was honestly the best I have ever eaten. It melted in my mouth. The service was also phenomenal. So friendly and attentive. I only wish we could go back to try their regular menu. My family lives 12 hours away, but if we are ever in Savannah again, we will be sure to eat here!
