This review is for the Sweet and Spicy food truck that was at Daffin Park during the pop Warner league football game on 21 October 2017. I ordered the jerk chicken wings and fries for a very reasonable 6.99. While the price is actually good, I cannot say the same for the quality and taste of the food. Being that it is a Jamaican food truck, I would be embarrassed for any Islanders to taste it and call it authentic. The chicken was very rubbery and not tender. The "jerk sauce" was just poured over the chicken, nothing tasted remotely close to a real jerk marination at all. Also, the jerk sauce was mediocre at best, and that's being very generous... Maybe today was an off day for this resteraunt and I understand that it was busy, but this review is warranted until I taste better from this place. I am in no hurry to come back....
I only lived in Jamaica for a year, but I still crave the food 20 years later. Their rice and peas brought me back and the mac & cheese was delicious. The jerk chicken was also very good - looking forward to trying the curry - soon come!
Awesome food! The best Jamaican food I've had yet. Customer service could use a pick up but no other complaints at all!
Unbelievable food. Don't get me wrong, this will knock your pants off right here. Whenever I'm in need of a good meaty meal its best to come here. The place is tiny and there isn't much in the way of window dressing but the food is a plenty and spicy as it should be. Their ginger juice is perfect for any summer day and you can't go wrong with a little jerked chicken. Easy to miss and hard to forget. Give Sweet Spice a try today.
Probably the best food I've ever had in Savannah. I literally have to schedule when I visit, other wise I end up here 4 or 5 times a week. All the food is amazing.. try the 3 meat sampler and treat yourself
