This restaurant is not even worth a single star. I made a reservation for our Thanksgiving dinner and it was so disappointing. It started with our server Derek who I think was WASTED or on some sort of medication. He came and took orders for our drinks, left and after 10-15 mins. ,came back embarrassed because he could not remember our order. My sister showed for the second time from the wine list what our order was. We knew then that something was wrong. He then proceeded in taking our order. My sister asked him how big a portion was the bouillabaisse, he says it was an entree (did he mean big portion.) ? So my sister decided she was not getting the bouillabaisse but the Nicoise which was the Plat du Jour of the day (again she showed him the menu and pointed to him what she wanted. Lo and behold, he came out with the bouillabaisse. When my sister said she ordered the Nicoise not the bouillabaisse, he proceeded in saying that Nicoise was not on the menu. We told him that it was on their Plat du Jour for Thursday. This time my sister was getting upset because he was clearly lying and was attempting to make us look stupid that we did not know what we ordered. The last straw was when he came back and told my sister in a very nasty way that we were wrong but not to worry, her salad is being prepared and left. Well that actually did it for us too. We called the manager and complained and walked out. I would have been forgiving if the place was busy, but they really was not since they just opened their doors for dinner and people were coming in slowly.
It was a great experience. The food was excellent but the server was even better. She was polite and very attentive. My wife and I enjoyed a quiet and romantic evening and really enjoyed the background music. Will definitely recommend it to our friends. I would give it five stars.
The food and atmosphere was great. On a business trip this time. I will bring my wife on my next trip to Savannah. Top shelf dinning!
I hardly write reviews online, but felt compelled to share my dining disappointment here. I stopped in for dinner on a Monday evening and ordered a glass of wine and the duck with gnocchi (their special every Monday). Despite the presentation, the gnocchi was darkened and overcooked. It was chewy and lacked flavor. By the time I finished my glass of wine, I found sediments in the bottom of the glass, something I wouldn't expect in a French restaurant with such a comprehensive wine menu. Overall, the price and expectations for a french restaurant in a hotel in Savannah were not met. A $41 meal tasted like something I could've made at home. The atmosphere was a miss as well, not the lightning, decor, or construction I was expecting of an international place. Although anecdotal in nature, my friend had one of his most disappointing Savannah meals here as well. Quite frankly, I won't be back.
Wonderful food and friendly staff. We walked in without a reservation at 6pm on Friday and were seated right away at a booth in the bar area. The only downside to that was our sever (the bartender) took quite a while to clear our plates and get our check to us, but we were enjoying ourselves so it wasn’t any trouble to us. I️ highly recommend you give this place a try, the food is delicious and fresh. If you like cheese you HAVE to try the cheese plate!
