We try to eat at an Indian restaurant whenever we travel and always ask our waiter for recommendations. We did the same at Pakwan and had a great experience. The food was delicious and the staff was super friendly. The portion sizes were adequate--my husband and I shared an appetizer and an entree and were stuffed when we were finished. We loved it and if we ever come back to Savannah, we will definitely eat there again.
Their buffet leaves MUCH to be desired. It was measly and unappetizing. Close to one half of it was empty. 3/4 of the meat items had no meat in them, only sauce. In the 30 minutes I was there, only one item was replenished. The salad bar is also pretty much non existent. It looked nothing like the photos indicated.
First experience at an Indian restaurant and I am so glad we picked this one. The staff was friendly and very helpful and if we mispronounced something they just said it back to us correctly as they wrote it down. They were fast and the food was absolutely delicious! I had the chicken korma moderate spice level and it was perfect! My husband had the lamb Madras and the lamb was amazing (another first for us). I am so glad we chose this place for our first. We will definitely be coming back every time we come to town!!!!!
Everything in the buffet was wonderful and they have a great variety on the main menu too! I’d recommend trying the lunch buffet if you are new to Indian food and guarantee you will find things that you like!
Enjoyed a Saturday afternoon late lunch. Sean greeted us and let us know the Chef's Specials. We decided on the Goat Curry and Mango Lamp Chops. We each got our own basket of nann bread. The service was fast and friendly. The restaurant was clean. The food was fantastic. We did not feel rushed and had a relaxing meal. I look forward to going back and trying other items. As well as in the cooler months being able to sit outside.
Hopefully the table service food is better (I'm guessing that's what all these positive reviews are for), but I can't say I'll be coming back to try it.
This place is like a little hidden gem on the Southside. It was really busy but the service was top notch. We will definitely be back again!
We have driven by this place a million times and just never stopped in. So glad we went today for lunch. It reminds me of an Indian Restaurant we used to go to when we lived in NY.
The food was not totally horrible, which is the only reason I gave it 3 stars instead of 2.
