I've never had a problem shopping in Lowe's here in Savannah, everyone there has always been very helpful, the store is easy to navigate and the folks I've interacted with always seem plenty knowledgeable. I will however warn anyone against buying any large appliance from this store. We made a purchase of a new refrigerator two weeks ago and the delivery team who came out were absolutely incompetent. They banged and scratched my dining room door frame removing our old refrigerator and had to be asked to remove the handles as it clearly wasn't going to fit through. They did not dump the water that had collected in the condenser tray and it wound up all over the floors of our house. After that, they had to be asked to remove the doors to the new fridge because it was bigger than the old one. Once everything was finally in, hooked up and in place, they couldn't figure out how to put together the door on the water filter cartridge. They left saying they would have to file a claim with the service department to come out and fix it. My husband figured out how to put it together in less than 5 minutes just from reading the directions. They never called back to ask about it. They hung the doors on the fridge crooked once they put them back on. On top of it all, when I called customer service to get someone else out and let them know the situation I was told I'd recieve another call in 24 hours and never did. I sincerely hope this was just a bad day for everyone, but I'm disappointed enough in the way the Lowe's team has handled the situation, I will never buy another appliance there again and would advise anyone I know against it as well.
Sean in the garden center is awesome! He went out of his way to look up information on how to care for our stressed out plants. We just relocated to the area and he even gave us advice on where to go and things to do in the area.
Walked out of here a few mins ago and went to Home Depot next door after standing at customer service for 10 minutes while the girl was talking on the phone. she looked at me twice, then she got off the phone and got right back on the phone without even acknowledging me. Home Depot was friendly, and answered my question quickly. Probably switching my loyalties.
I love Lowe's however my visit today was not the best. I purchased wooden dowels there are no sku's on them. Therefore the lady at the door attempted to get the price for the young man at the register. She was rude. We did get the price but I will not go back
Big miss Lowes! They stopped doing military discount in store apparently, you have to register online with your info. That's not a big deal, how they handled it however has ensured I'll only be using home depot from now on. When going to check out I presented my military ID and was promptly told 'we don't do that anymore'. I asked what she meant, she told me I have to register online. I said ok, when did this start, I was just in here a few weeks ago and never heard of this. Her response? "I dunno sometime whenever, it's not that hard just go register". Well, it is pretty inconvenient when I just took all the time to shop, and you're now saying no discount go register while being sarcastic. That's cool, I'll stick to home depot. Last time I walk in here. The discount isn't a big deal, the rude and sarcastic way I found out was. Maybe an announcement or grace period? And no sarcasm when I ask, thanks.
