They are not honest with their client. They charged me a helmet 3 times higher of it price. I noticed it when I saw the exact same new item on Internst that only cost 10 dollars (they charged me for 30 dollars!). Not only the item they sell, they also over charged for their service.
About a year ago I walked in this place with a computer bag on my shoulder. I asked to rent a bike with a basket. The young employee tried to get me several bikes but the owner (older woman) kept telling him no to every bike and would claim they were customers' bikes. Employee was confused. I asked again to rent a bike. Old lady tells me, "No. No. No." I was confused by this. She then shut down and stopped talking to me completely. It seemed to me because I wanted a way to carry my bag on the bike, she decided not to rent a bike to me.
I bought a bike there for my SCAD student daughter. I can see why some people give this place tough reviews as far as customer service. The owners are not typical American cheerful small business owners. But they have a good range of products and the prices are good. They offered 6 months of free service after the purchase and made sure to tell my daughter to come by for any problem that she might have. Overall a really good experience. I try not to give 5 stars unless someone is exceptional but this shop deserves more than 2.5 stars so I rated a 5 to try to get their average up!
I have to admit both owners do not speak English well so you have to have some patience with them
I don't live is Savannah and only stay here as a contractor for work. I am very picky about my bike and who works on it. But I have to say I have stopped in this shop for various reasons over the last 4 years and have always gave me good service from flats to tune ups ...
