It's been OVER A MONTH and we still cannot properly grieve as we are unable to receive remains. No payment plans available... no cooperation from owners/management with bank... I understand that death is a "business" as almost everything is really, but this is beyond my "northerner" comprehension.

If I could give this place negative stars, I absolutely would.

No worries. God sees everything. And so do our attornies, who are actively looking into this matter. I'm sure you all will have much to discuss.

Negative infinity stars. Stay far, far away from this place.

I wonder how and why this business doesn't have more negative reviews. I've never experienced such incompetent, foolish and unethical service from anywhere, ever. And I'm from NY so that's saying quite a bit. The manner that my family member's arrangements were (and still are) being handled (actually mishandled) is completely uncalled for.

$1,000 later, and with donations from families and friend directly to the organization to help cover the costs, we still DO NOT have ashes, a payment plan, or any idea when we can plan a memorial. "Storage" prices (for the body) continued to accrue.

The Jones Family

Does anyone have a heart here? I thought the name of the business was "Families" First! SMH.

GROSS INCOMPETENCE. It's laughable that the name of the business is "Families First" when the owner is only concerned about the money first. Families aren't even 2nd in this man's eyes.

In lamens terms: we don't owe you squat.

Interestingly enough, the figures on that contract are a completely different amount from what you describe/different from the harrassing collections letters you have mailed my family. Matter of fact, according to the original contract (which is a binding, legal document) the fees that we paid for your peasantry of a service reflect a (gasp!) paid in full account.

I question their business practices, ethics, morals, basic comprehension skills and sanity. There is a special type of hell for people that run a "business"like this.

Hospice of Savannah recommended that we use Families First as a cremation service. We are not from the area nor were we prepared for death, as she did not have insurance. We made this clear to Scott Dixon, the director of Families First, after accepting the referral from hospice.

The only thing that is unfortunate is your (lack of) an ability to be honest.

If this place is your only option, you probably are better off digging a hole and burying your loved ones yourself.

They have a very friendly staff & a nice chapel. They really helped us in our time of need.☺

We have the original contract.

Losing a mother is not an easy thing, of course. But Families First made a difficult time so much better by being unfailingly helpful, efficient, caring, and honest. Unlike other funeral homes, they didn't try to upsell or take advantage of us by trying to talk us into a higher-priced package. We asked for the least expensive package and got it with no hassle or questions asked (and it was very affordable). They were wonderful from the very beginning when I spoke with owner CJ. Scott Dixon was the gentleman who handled most of the arrangements and he was so quick at responding to my questions and helping explain things, a real boon since we were dealing with this long distance as I am based in Seattle. We were so impressed with them. I can't say enough good things about them!

Services were exactly as described. FFF responded to our calls and emails immediately and were extremely helpful and kind. Dealing with a death is never easy, but Families First made it as painless as possible for us and we really appreciate that. Thank you.

We were initially informed by Dixon over the phone that the cost of the service would be $700, and this was a "discount." We agreed to the service via telephone.

Stay blessed,
