Excellent clergy and active engaged congregants. Very sound doctrine and beautiful music. I value the opportunity to worship and learn in devoted group. Here there is a top notch Sunday school with classes for all ages.
Magnificent Historic Church and Parrish House. Brilliant Rector and excellent, competent staff. Communicants are quintenessential Southerners full of the charm and graciousness one expects of the deep South.
I have been a member of St. John's Church for most of my life. Father Dunbar and Father O'Brien are wonderful, kind and caring spiritual leaders whose sermons have guided me throughout my life. The choir is outstanding, the parishioners warm and welcoming and the Sunday school a great environment for children to learn about God. We do use the 1928 Prayer Book and the service may be confusing, but don't let this put you off. After a few services, you will learn when to stand and when to kneel. All are welcome!!!
