My wife and I make the 5 1/2 hour trip to Savannah from South Georgia at least once a year, just to eat! On our most recent visit we had the pleasure of eating breakfast at The Collins Quarter. The coffee was top notch, the decor was nice and felt like everything Savannah is and should be, very dog friendly place as well!
One of my favorite places in Savannah. Great servers, friendly and attentive. The food is fun, very tasty and always consistent. The owner is almost always there when I come in. A nice walk up coffee window if you are walking and just need a boost. Also a great spot to stop and people watch while in Savannah.
Absolutely amazing. What else can you say about this restaurant. The service is astonishing. Eli, manager, could not have made my family feel more welcome, and we have lived in Savannah for 20 years! My wife was blown away by the surf and turf menu offering. It actually hurts me that I can't remember it's name, but their ever changing menu makes up for the nostalgia factor by continually supplying you with new and delicious entrees. Honestly the classiest joint in Savannah, while still making you feel at home. Be sure to put this restaurant on you list.
The only thing that took away from our experience was that our waiter seemed to rush us a little bit when we were asking questions about the menu items. The restaurant was by no means crowded at 5pm so it wasn't that we were taking up a table. I just think that our waiter may have been having a bad day, which happens, I hope his day went better.
The only downside would be our waiter. He forgot to put in our order, so we sat for quite some time waiting for our food. Luckily the atmosphere was great, and the food was beyond amazing, so we didn’t mind the wait too much!
My wife ordered the “Tag this hash” and it honestly was the best breakfast I’ve tasted in recent memory! I ordered the French toast which was good, but did not compare to my wife’s meal.
Very nice ambiance indoors! My mother an I usually freeze when inside but the AC was kept at a very reasonable temperature. The cocktails were cleverly named and very tasty! They were by no means watered down either! The Duck Poutine was AMAZING, it could be a full meal on its own. The Fungi Tacos were also a great vegetarian dish with a ton of flavor!
This is a MUST when in Savannah!
The Collins Quarter is always an amazing experience, definitely a must-go for tourists! The Avocado Smash is an easy choice but other options on the menu are more original and flavorful! I was really pleased with the size of a SIDE of fries - and I’m pretty sure when I got them wrapped up, the manager added more! Great service, but things definitely slow down when they get busy.
