Used to be my go to spot when I went to SCAD. Went back recently when I was in town for a visit. Love that it is the same small staff since when I had graduated 10 years ago! Knowledgable owners and great selection. As an avid reader I appreciate the fact that if I have a question they have answers, otherwise I am left alone to explore the great selection. One of my favorite books stores in the states!
I absolutely adored this place, after talking to the person behind the counter, they helped me find a lovely book to take with me for my travels.
The Book Lady is a small quaint bookstore, with a surprisingly large selection. The service was friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was cool, relaxing, and inviting. Comfortable chairs to settle in and browse through your book selections.

Walk in, not greeted by the guy sitting literally right next to the entrance, which is fine. Say we want to sell some books. Snarky fella says, "when it rains, it pours." Like, do you want to look at them or what? Douchebag doesn't even know what he's looking at (Harry Potter Signature Edition UK Collection), and throws up, "Well, what's that mean?" It's just an out of print version of the books. "Eh, do you know what you wanted for them?" I mean, we've looked on Ebay, but he said he wanted to look at them over the phone, so we drove all the way out there to see what he'd offer, and then he wastes our time with a $35 lowball when they're going for up to $500+...
